Two Yeovil care homes that closed down at the end of last year will be transformed into state-of-the-art care communities by The Care Home Group.
Latimer Lodge and Tyndale have been acquired by Yeovil-based The Care Home Group which plans to fully refurbish the homes before opening them to residents from spring 2016.
The homes will be the group’s flagship UK care community featuring spacious en-suite care studios, a hair and beauty salon, communal spaces and landscaped gardens.
The care community offers residents the unique opportunity to buy their own care studio, empowering them as ‘owner occupiers’ to take control of their care and their financial assets.
Sean Murray, CEO of The Care Home Group said the acquisition marked a new chapter for care provision in Yeovil.
He said: “As a locally-based company we are delighted that Latimer Lodge and Tyndale will form our first care community.
“We are committed to setting a new care community standard through our investment in technology, innovation, people and property and, by re-opening the refurbished homes under our management, we plan to showcase the range of improvements under those four criteria that we will be bringing to all our homes in 2016.
“We want to give people the opportunity to buy their own care studio so that they can continue to receive the care they want in a luxurious and homely environment.
We looking forward to welcoming the local community into our newly refurbished home in the coming months and meeting our new residents
